Dean of Students/Technology Coordinator-- beginning 7/1/25. Candidate must be caring, enthusiastic, a team-builder, committed to excellence; and must possess skills in instructional leadership, problem-solving & collaboration. Knowledge of technology, SD Administrative Certification preferred and Elementary or Secondary School Certification. Experience in administration preferred. Salary depends on qualifications and experience. Position open until filled.
Dean of Students Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to students, teachers, and parents
- Implement and enforce school policies and procedures to promote a safe and respectful school community
- Facilitate conflict resolution
- Coordinate and oversee school-wide programs and initiatives to support student development and success
- Collaborate with teachers and staff
Technology Coordinator Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to staff and students. This may include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, diagnosing problems, and recommending solutions.
Develop and deliver training programs for staff and students on how to use new technologies or troubleshoot common issues.
Monitor the performance of the technology infrastructure, ensuring it is running efficiently and effectively. This may involve regular maintenance tasks, software updates, and security patching.
Inventory Management
Maintain a record of all technology assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
Work with staff, students, and vendors to ensure a smooth and efficient technology experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, administration, technology or a related field
Previous experience working with students in an educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to promoting a positive school culture
K-8 Special Education Teacher--The Willow Lake School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team. The Elementary Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The teacher will work collaboratively with general education staff, specialists, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and independence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Design and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
Maintain accurate records of student performance, IEP compliance, and communication logs
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and co-teaching models
Provide accommodations and modifications to ensure access to the general curriculum
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions
Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture that supports student self-regulation and engagement
Engage in professional development to stay current on best practices in special education
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
Valid teaching certification in Special Education
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and current special education practices
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Experience with diverse learners and inclusive teaching strategies
Familiarity with progress monitoring tools and data-driven instruction
Music--Band/Vocal Teacher--The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging music instruction, foster creativity, and help develop a lifelong appreciation for music. The position includes teaching general music classes, leading vocal and instrumental ensembles, performing concerts, participating in music contests, etc.
